چکیده

Let us first examine this sequence in the 1-dimensional case. When the underlying manifold is C, the claim is that 0→ Hol→ C∞ ∂ −→ Ω → 0 is exact. Clearly, Hol → C∞ is injective, and we observed last class that Hol is precisely the kernel of the map ∂ : C∞ → Ω0,1, so the only difficulty in verifying exactness is in showing that ∂ : C∞ → Ω0,1 is surjective. That is, given a smooth function g : C→ C, we would like to produce a smooth function f : C→ C with ∂f = g dz, or in other words, ∂ ∂z f = g.

7350: Topics in Finite-dimensional Algebras

These are the notes from a course taught at Cornell in Spring 2009. They are a record of what was covered in the lectures. Many results were copied out of books and other sources, as noted in the text. The course had three parts: (1) An introduction to finite-dimensional algebras (lectures 1-12) (2) Gabriel’s Theorem (lectures 13-16) (3) Auslander-Reiten theory (lectures 17-27). Thanks to C. H....

Notes on Computational Aspects of Syntax

These notes cover the first part of an introductory course on computational linguistics, also known as MPRI 2-27-1: Logical and computational structures for linguistic modeling. The course is subdivided into two parts: the first, which is the topic of these notes, is focused almost exclusively on syntax, while the second part, taught this year by Philippe de Groote, covers semantics and discour...
